Superintendent Graff: We are in this together

Superintendent Graff has a special message to share with families on how “We are in this together.”

Mental health supports over the summer

School-based mental health services for students are available during Distance Learning mainly through tele-health and are scheduled to continue through the summer. If your student is receiving school-based mental health services, your mental health care provider should have already reached out to you about planning for summer or will do so soon.

If you are not connected to a therapist yet and we would like to be, call the Mental Health Support Line at 612.767.4158 and therapists answering this number can provide support and make initial referrals for service. The Mental Health Support Line will also be available throughout the summer.

Hennepin County support lines: If someone in your family is experiencing a mental health crisis, please call the Hennepin County Crisis teams:

  • COPE Team works with ages 18+:  612.596.1223
  • Child Crisis Team works with ages 17 and under: 612.348.2233

Hennepin County services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for anyone in crisis in Hennepin County. Interpreters are available for Hmong, Somali and Spanish.
